Nostalgic Radios provides high-quality functional electrical/mechanical checks on ALL radios that we sell. When original replacement parts are not available, where such parts are prohibitively expensive, or where such parts (due to age) are failure-prone, we substitute quality, functionally equivalent parts. Whenever possible we attempt to maintain the original appearance of the radio when it is fully assembled, with part substitutions generally performed under the radio chassis. Where feasible, old solder joints are completely cleaned and new joints are formed. However, where such cleaning may damage fragile components, new components may be soldered to existing leads.

Electrical servicing generally consist of the following:

• Complete diagnostic procedures;
• Replacement of ALL paper/wax capacitors;
• Replacement of mica capacitors (where needed);
• Replacement of any out-of-spec resistors;
• Replacement of any out-of-spec tubes (with equivalent "New Old Stock");
• Replacement of the A/C power cord;
• Replacement of any unsafe or non-functional internal wiring;
• Replacement of other components (coils, transformers, speaker cones, etc.) as required;
• Thorough cleaning/lubrication of all switches, contacts;
• Alignment of both RF and IF stages when necessary, and a 8-hour "power-on" bench test.
  

All radio cases and cabinets are both crack and chip free and have their original factory finish unless stated in the description paragraph. Plaskon cases may have "STRESS" lines which is common for this type of material, however, any cracks present will be noted.
